Anita Laurence lives in the King Valley; her studio is located on site and many of her art works are inspired by the beautiful local valley landscape and its iconic features. Anita’s art is often composed of narrative and place. Her striking linocut prints, etchings and paintings depict historic tobacco kilns, silo’s, churches, buildings, farm sheds, houses, fish, trees, land formations. Anita has exhibited continually since1985, working mainly in linocut; with her husband Master Printmaker Bill Young they have produced over 150 limited edition prints.

 

Anita’s artworks can be found in public collections; Albury/Wodonga Patient and Carer Accommodation Centre, Charles Sturt University Collection, Corowa Council Collection, National Australia Bank Collection, Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery, Mildura Arts Centre, Parliament House Art Collection, Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute, Silk Cut Collection National Gallery of Australia, The Northside Group, St. Leonards NSW, Wangaratta Art Gallery, and Wangaratta Dialysis Centre.
