Claude creates his artworks in his Lilydale studio, a gateway to the Yarra Valley.

An award-winning artist, he recently won the 2022 Tom Roberts Award for his painting 'YURI.' With over 30 years of experience in painting and sculpting, his deep knowledge of color, form, and perspective brings passion and dedication to his work.

The ever-changing light and landscapes of the Yarra Valley provide constant inspiration. "My drives and walks fuel much of my work, using photography, sketches, and plein air painting as foundations."

Claude has been teaching oil painting for over 10 years, eager to share his craft with new students. He has also expanded into ship sculptures and marionettes made from recycled materials, exhibiting widely across Victoria, including a well-received solo show at the Warburton Art Centre.

His paintings have been showcased in numerous exhibitions and are held in private collections across Australia.
