Richard is an impressionist oil painter, born in the UK and settling in Australia in the late 1960’s. He currently resides in Seaford and has lived on or adjacent to the Mornington Peninsula for over 30 years drawing much of his inspiration from the coastal and inland scenery of this beautiful region.

Commencing painting in the mid - 1970’s Richard is featured in the 2nd and 3rd editions of the popular reference work Australian Artists Today (published by Graeme Norris) and participated in several mixed and two-man shows in the 1970’s and 1980’s producing a substantial body of work in this period which is represented in many Australian and overseas collections.

Returning to painting on his retirement from the commercial world in late 2007 Richard is a member of the Peninsula Arts Society  and provides occasional tuition to their members and to those of the Mentone-Mordialloc Art Group.
